Overview

The International Criminal Court is seeking interns to assist the Victims and Witnesses Section in its trial-related operations and programmes. The role supports case management, research, and administrative tasks.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist VWS Teams in planning, administration, and monitoring of trial-related operations and programmes.
  • Support day-to-day operational case management.
  • Assist with open source research on situation countries and relevant topics.
  • Assist in drafting minutes, reports, and planning documents.
  • Conduct general administration tasks and legal research.
  • Carry out any other task as entrusted by the Team Leader.
Required Experience

Applicants must have less than three years of relevant full-time professional experience. Practical experience relevant to the work of the Court may be considered an asset.

Qualifications
  • Degree or in the final stages of studies at a recognised university – preferably in political science, law, international relations, administration or security management.
  • Very good record of academic performance.
Other Details
Languages Required
Proficiency in one of the working languages of the Court, French or English, is required.
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of the other working language (French or English) is desirable. Knowledge of Arabic or Russian is considered an asset.
Contract Duration
Between three and six months (to be agreed to prior to commencement). Internship placements shall not be extended beyond six months.
Work Modality
The internship will take place entirely in the HQ.
Remuneration
Internship placements at the ICC are unfunded. The ICC is not able to provide participants with any remuneration, nor is it possible to provide reimbursement for expenses incurred.
