Overview

The Travel Associate will process travel requests for UNICEF Offices worldwide in compliance with UNICEF's Travel policies. This role involves travel administration and management functions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Process travel requests for official missions, appointment, reassignment, separation/repatriation, home leave, family visit, and education grant travels.
  • Post travel authorizations.
  • Verify itineraries and ticket costs.
  • Examine and process travel claims prior to final settlement.
  • Perform transactional service management, pre-processing, processing, and client service.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience in the international travel industry, operations, administration, or logistics.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in travel management.
  • Experience in travel administration or management.
  • IT skills and working knowledge in the Microsoft Suite of Products (including MS Word, MS Excel & MS PowerPoint).
  • Experience in UNICEF/UN Travel Units, knowledge of the UN's / UNICEF's rules, regulations and procedures is desirable.
  • Experience using global distribution systems (i.e., SABRE, Amadeus etc.) is an asset.
Qualifications
  • Completed secondary education (i.e. high school diploma).
  • University level degree in business administration is desirable.

Fluency in both spoken and written English is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of an additional UN Language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is considered an asset.
