Overview
The Driver (GS-2) ensures safe, reliable, and timely transportation services and logistical support for programme implementation. The role involves upholding professionalism and safety standards, providing logistical and administrative support, and ensuring vehicle maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides reliable and safe driving services while ensuring compliance with local traffic rules and UNICEF protocols.
- Supports administrative tasks and engages in self-directed learning during non-driving periods.
- Performs routine vehicle care, maintenance, and readiness.
- Utilizes digital tools and tracking systems.
- Documents and reports on trips.
- Maintains communication and emergency readiness.
- Supports office operations during idle periods.
Required Experience
- Minimum two years of work experience as a driver in an international organization, embassy or UN system with a safe driving record.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
Qualifications
- A secondary education is required.
- A valid driver’s license.
