Overview
Responsible for and leads all fundraising activities with the Private Sector in China. Develops and realizes individuals, corporate, foundations and philanthropy fundraising strategy that maximizes CO potential and is in line with the global PFP plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and direction in developing UNICEF China's overall Resource Mobilization strategy and implementation frameworks focused on global and local private sector partners.
- Provide leadership and supervision to the PSFR team for all fundraising activities.
- Manages, leads and grows the Individuals Fundraising Programme.
- Actively seek and develop new fundraising products that are appropriate in the China context.
- Takes an active role in identifying, approaching and negotiating partner relationships with corporations, foundations and wealthy individuals.
- Represents the PSFR team at the Senior Management Team and the Country Management Team.
- Works jointly with Communications, Programs and Operations to unify projection of UNICEF's image and positioning.
- Supervises the development of fundraising tools.
Required Experience
- A minimum of ten years of professional experience in private sector fundraising is required, with progressively increasing responsibilities, including direct responsibility for setting and meeting income targets.
- Experience in, and knowledge of, the country context is an asset.
- Relevant marketing experience will be considered as contributing to this work experience.
- Familiarity with the private sector.
- International fundraising experience is an asset.
- Previous managerial experience is essential.
Qualifications
Advanced University degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, Communications, Economics or equivalent, with specialization in Fundraising Studies or Marketing.
