Overview

Provide specialized support to the implementation of activities and projects within the Transition and Recovery Unit, focusing on veterans reintegration and community stabilization.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support planning, implementation and monitoring of project efforts.
  • Coordinate veterans’ reintegration initiatives.
  • Liaise with partner NGOs and government contacts.
  • Map veterans’ reintegration programming needs and beneficiaries.
  • Devise and implement a monitoring system for veterans’ reintegration activities.
  • Contribute to contracting of partner NGOs and procurement.
  • Contribute to regular reporting, correspondence, publication and presentation materials.
  • Provide information gathering management support.
  • Track and analyse national developments related to veterans’ reintegration.
  • Organize and participate in events related to veterans’ reintegration.
  • Provide inputs and recommend improvements to programme activities.
  • Support programme visibility and communications.
  • Coordinate logistics and organization of TRU-related activities and events.
  • Undertake duty travel within Ukraine as needed.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Required Experience
  • Six years of relevant experience with a High School diploma/certificate.
  • Four years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience working with authorities and civil society.
  • Experience working with IDPs/refugees and/or vulnerable populations.
  • Experience throughout the project cycle (design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, reporting).
  • Experience of working in a UN agency or International NGO is an asset.
  • Knowledge of community stabilization, social participation and cohesion, recovery, and similar activities.
  • Ability to implement organizational, administrative and financial control procedures.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma/certificate.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields) from an accredited academic institution.
