Overview
Support targeted work with youth, indigenous peoples, non-state actors, and communications activities related to flagship initiatives. This includes support for developing and implementing communications strategies, producing information materials, reports, and preparing/organizing key events.
Key Responsibilities
- - Facilitate engagement with the UNCCD Youth Forum
- - Organize consultations for the implementation of decision 5/COP16 and outcomes related to non-state actors
- - Support engagement of UNCCD Land Heroes
- - Draft and disseminate key messages on non-state actors engagement
- - Support development of reports, policy briefs, factsheets, and information materials
- - Support communications activities for flagship campaigns related to youth, indigenous peoples, local communities, civil society organisations, gender, drought, and land restoration
- - Develop communications plans for international days, consultations, and meetings
- - Elaborate and implement social media plans
- - Develop multimedia and multilingual communications assets
- - Support preparation and organization of Desertification and Drought Day, International Youth Day, and COP17
Required Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience in the field of public relations or media is required.
- Demonstrated experience in developing international advocacy strategies and campaigns is required.
- Experience in engaging with non-state actors is required.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in public relations or communications is required.
