Overview
Volunteering in Sicily in a housing community for at-risk boys and children, supporting educators in a shelter for young boys aged 13-18 on a path towards rehabilitation and social inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Support youngsters’ education with afterschool activities (homework support, lessons of foreign language, educational workshops)
- Create fun and engaging workshops: cooking, theatre, music...
- Language exchange
- Organize celebrations for special occasions/festivities
- Manage the daily life in the community: prepare meals to share with everyone, keep the space clean and welcoming, help the residents with their everyday needs
- Discover the town and surrounding area accompanying the youngsters on trips.
Required Experience
Studies or experience in social work or psychology.
