Overview
Provide legal and policy advice in relation to AIIB's public-sector investment transactions to protect AIIB's interests and ensure compliance with its mandate, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal and policy advice in the context of the Bank's public-sector investment operations.
- Participate in, and where appropriate, lead the negotiations of legal agreements.
- Draft and prepare various legal documents, such as legal opinions, studies, briefs, reports, correspondence, memoranda, agreements, contracts, and other legal materials.
- Provide legal support to AIIB's public-sector operations in their entire project cycle.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other multilateral development banks and development partners.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant post-qualification practice experience.
- Experience in a top-tier international law firm or with an international financial organization is a strong plus.
- Relevant professional experience with sovereign loans, guarantees, and/or private-public partnership projects and loan/financing/guarantee agreements is a strong plus.
- Experience working collaboratively in a cross-cultural environment.
Qualifications
- An LLM, JD, or equivalent;
- qualified to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
