Overview
The National Field Specialist will support the implementation of field-level activities for the project “Strengthened Capacity Building for Artisanal Fishery Value Chain Actors in the Blue Economy Sector.”
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the organization and facilitation of inception meetings at the provincial level.
- Support stakeholder consultations and communication.
- Assist in the identification, registration, and mapping of potential project beneficiaries.
- Contribute to the preparation of the training calendar and adaptation of training programmes.
- Support the organization and delivery of training-of-trainers (ToT) sessions.
- Collaborate with the INAPEM network and other local partners in facilitating training sessions and community dialogues.
- Support training cycles on business and financial management.
- Assist in the preparation of annual and quarterly work plans.
- Support all aspects of day-to-day project implementation in the field.
- Ensure the integration of gender equality and youth empowerment across all project interventions.
- Contribute to real-time monitoring of project progress.
- Support the collection, organization, and analysis of data.
- Provide weekly and monthly implementation plans and progress updates.
- Support the design and facilitation of project activities with stakeholders in pilot areas.
- Perform any other related tasks as may be assigned.
Required Experience
At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience in fisheries and aquaculture development, community-based projects, capacity building, or value chain development.
Qualifications
University degree in Fisheries, Aquaculture, Marine or Environmental Sciences, Rural Development, Agricultural Economics, or related field.
