Overview
The project manager will ensure the achievement of project objectives related to climate smart agriculture, livelihood, green skill, and gender responsive climate action. This role is accountable for the successful implementation of projects with a high level of quality on Gender Equality and Inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Support further project development and liaise with departments for resource mobilization.
- Provide facilitation and technical advisory during project development.
- Align project design and implementation with Plan International principles.
- Lead project delivery activities and provide technical inputs.
- Develop coordination and communication efforts with Area Implementation Managers.
- Lead the delivery and monitoring of financial management of the project.
- Lead the monitoring of technical outputs from project.
- Identify and manage project risks and mitigation strategy.
- Lead the project closure process, audit, and transfer of project assets.
- Ensure adherence to financial, procurement, and administrative processes.
- Lead advocacy and influencing of the project thematic area.
- Identify opportunities for deepening cooperation and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Participate in Plan Indonesia and PII global and national campaigns.
- Participate and represent Plan Indonesia in sub-national and national platforms.
- Ensure project Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (MER) Framework.
- Develop quality and timely submission of periodic reporting requirements.
- Lead monitoring the implementation of projects using agreed monitoring tools.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the development of quality knowledge products.
- Ensures quality standards of document keeping, retrieval, and sharing mechanism.
- Establish good practice of partnership management.
- Lead and coordinate with relevant government stakeholders.
- Adhere to RASCI in decision-making and communication.
- Be the focal person for contact with Regional and Global Hub for project thematic.
- Ensure Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded.
- Participate actively in capacity building and learning events on Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion.
- Submit required documentation to implement policy, standards, and approaches on Safeguarding and GESI.
- Understand and put into practice responsibilities under Safeguarding and GESI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project implementation relevant to livelihood, agriculture and climate change, including budget management, monitoring and evaluation, and quality project reporting.
- Experience working to provide technical assistance in responding to climate-smart livelihood is an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years experience working in coordination with Government agencies/offices, NGOs, and INGOs for livelihood, agriculture and climate change.
- Demonstrated knowledge in international development tools: programme logic, monitoring dashboard, and community empowerment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of gender transformative approach, gender-based violence, child rights, and inclusion.
- Affinity to work with and for children and young people.
- Understanding of Indonesian Government policies, laws, and institutions in climate change, livelihood, agriculture and/or environment.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and support staff.
- Ability to function efficiently and effectively with little day-to-day supervision.

Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree in social sciences, agriculture, business, economic, climate change or gender studies.
