Overview
Provide simultaneous English–Portuguese and Portuguese–English interpretation for online webinars and translation/proofreading of project documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and study concept notes and presentation materials.
- Attend a test call with the project team.
- Be available 30 minutes prior to the start of each webinar.
- Ensure the availability, compatibility, and proper functioning of online platforms and equipment.
- Provide high-quality simultaneous English-Portuguese and Portuguese-English interpretation for 14 webinars (1.5 hours each).
- Provide proofreading of project documentation in both English and Portuguese.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in simultaneous English-Portuguese and Portuguese-English interpretation, and English-Portuguese and Portuguese-English translation is required;
- Familiarity with the thematic areas of sustainability, chemicals and waste is preferred;
- Experience working with international organizations is preferred;
- Experience working in the context of chemicals, persistent organic pollutants, and hazardous waste is an advantage.
Qualifications
• A bachelor’s degree in the field English and Portuguese philology, literature or interpretation.
