Overview
Consultant to serve as a Learning, Scaling and Innovative Financing Lead for the Education Outcomes Fund (EOF) in Sierra Leone, focusing on transforming education outcomes and informing sustainable, government-led reforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the updating and operationalisation of the SLEIC sustainability strategy.
- Contribute to the design of sustainability plans for SLEIC and SLECCE.
- Engage with government stakeholders, facilitating dialogue on evidence and innovative financing approaches.
- Identify feasible institutional pathways for embedding learning within government systems.
- Understand government priorities and areas of focus in the education system.
- Support the learning agenda package, which could include research, technical assistance, or building data tools.
- Build the sustainability impact of the early childhood education program.
- Build strong donor partnerships and coordinate on evidence-based propositions.
- Consistently engage EOF’s implementing partners and investors.
- Explore institutionalising incentives and learning via budgets, procurement systems, or new programming.
Required Experience
- 8 years of relevant professional experience is required.
- Demonstrated experience working with the Government of Sierra Leone and strong networks across government institutions and education sector stakeholders.
- Experience with education system strengthening, innovative financing, or results-based financing initiatives is highly desirable.
- Experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa or similar contexts preferred.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Economics, Public Policy, International Development, or a related field, is required.
- A Master's degree is preferred but not required.
