Overview
The intern will be exposed to the core functions of UNIDO ITPO Shanghai, engaging in on-the-job training and contributing to specific assignments related to investment promotion and technology transfer.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to forum activities (conferences, seminars, expert group meetings, workshops, exhibitions) organized or supported by ITPO Shanghai.
- Provide technical, logistical, and substantive support for forum activities.
- Support business matchmaking for investment promotion and technology transfer.
- Research Sustainable Supply Chain, Foreign Investment Promotion, Business Environment Study, Foreign Enterprise Development, Industrial Park development, and related topics.
- Assist in updates of ITPO Shanghai Web Page and social media presence.
- Assist in contacts with Chinese public media.
- Participate in the collection of materials and information for ITPO publications and reports.
- Undertake other special emerging projects that may enhance the learning experience.
- Prepare an end-of-internship report.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a second level university degree programme (master's or equivalent) or higher; or begin the internship within one year of completing a second level university degree; or be enrolled in the final academic year of a first degree programme (bachelor's or equivalent); or begin the internship within one year of completing a first level university degree.
- Field of specialization: business and finance, International Relations, Economics, Journalism, English or other related majors with specialization in an area related to UNIDO’s mandate.
