Overview

The consultant will support efforts to strengthen Nutrition in Emergencies (NiE) and Infant & Young Child Feeding in Emergencies (IYCF-E) capacity, consolidate evidence, and facilitate the implementation and documentation of a quality continuous improvement initiative. The assignment aims to improve early detection, referral completion, treatment access, and overall quality of care for children with wasting.

Key Responsibilities

• Strengthening NiE and IYCF-E capacity
• Improving coordination, preparedness, and response systems
• Strengthening management of food donations and protection of appropriate feeding practices
• Improving performance of IMAM services
• Providing structured facilitation and documentation support to the CQI initiative

Required Experience

Minimum of 8–10 years of progressively responsible experience in public health nutrition, with a strong focus on wasting management. Demonstrated experience in NiE and IYCF-E, including capacity strengthening and program implementation in humanitarian or fragile contexts.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Public Health, Nutrition, Epidemiology, Health Systems, Global Health, or a related field.
