Overview
The People and Culture Officer will support the implementation of People and Culture (P&C) services to enhance client capacity in achieving business goals. The role involves anticipating P&C-related needs and developing plans and solutions that align P&C management with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- - Provide support to the P&C Business Partner in advising clients on P&C-related needs and developing action plans.
- - Offer advice to clients on P&C processes and policies.
- - Support the resolution of P&C issues by recommending equitable and transparent solutions.
- - Research and compile data on organizational progress towards gender equity and cultural diversity.
- - Identify recurring HR issues and recommend P&C solutions.
- - Liaise with HQ Divisions, regional and country offices to support corporate P&C strategy formulation.
- - Research and provide data to inform improvements in P&C systems, policies, and processes.
- - Keep abreast of best practices in P&C management and contribute to global policy development.
- - Provide support to specific P&C occupations such as recruitment, career development, performance management, data analytics, and learning & development.
- - Analyze and synthesize issues and problems in assigned casework and recommend solutions.
- - Support initiatives promoting staff well-being, inclusion, and psychological safety.
- - Contribute to internal communication efforts related to P&C initiatives.
- - Support People & Culture components of office culture transformation or change-management initiatives.
- - Support the design and delivery of learning plans for staff.
- - Contribute to mapping competencies for staff and developing a talent pipeline framework.
- - Research efficient and cost-effective learning products.
- - Participate as a resource person in capacity building initiatives.
- - Provide orientation briefing to new staff.
- - Collect, interpret, and analyze P&C data to inform decision-making.
- - Support the development and implementation of data collection systems.
- - Coordinate with country offices and partners on P&C information management.
Required Experience
- An HR/P&C generalist with experience in Learning and Development preferred.
- Knowledge management, network support and information sharing
- Ability to conceptualize, innovate, plan and execute ideas as well as transfer knowledge and skills.
- Experience of working within UNICEF or other UN entities is an asset.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources / People Management / Administration
