Overview
Provide coordination support to UNEP’s Sustainable Investments Unit, drawing on expertise in environmental finance, project management, and sustainable development. Support the implementation and scaling of the 3DEN initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Project coordination, monitoring, and partner due diligence.
- Partner and stakeholder engagement.
- Donor engagement for 3DEN-related activities.
- Communications, event management, and outreach for 3DEN pilot projects.
- Budget tracking and financial reporting.
- Project development, including scaling up and replication of the 3DEN model.
- Development of the 3DEN Finance Facility.
- Development of new project concepts and drafting of proposals.
- Fundraising and strategic donor mapping and engagement.
- Data collection, analysis and reporting.
- Support the Unit Head in hiring activities.
- Manage and update partners in the UNEP partnership portal.
Required Experience
Prior experience working in project management and coordination support for climate finance mitigation related activities would be considered an asset. Prior experience working with UN agencies with a focus on climate change and finance are desirable.
Qualifications
Master’s degree (M.A. or equivalent) in Environmental Policy, Political Science, Development, or a related field is required.
