Overview
The Reporting and Public Relations Intern will support the ABADEI team in reporting and donor relations, specifically focusing on Japanese institutional actors and outreach materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and translate various donor reports, including Japan.
- Identify and map potential Japanese institutional actors for partnership opportunities.
- Develop tailored outreach materials for donor engagement.
- Coordinate and support meetings, briefings, and field visits for Japanese stakeholders.
- Maintain a contact database and engagement tracker for Japanese partners and donors.
- Perform other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary.
Required Experience
- Prior internships and other experiences with an international organization.
- At least 1 prior internships and/or professional experience with an international organization or NGO, especially in the areas of donor reporting and partnerships, will be an asset.
- Must be available to work for at least 3 working days a week.
- Previous experience drafting reports.
- Previous experience translating documents from Japanese to English and vise-versa.
- Previous experience working on public relations.
- Experience coordinating meetings is desired.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in international relations, development studies, social sciences or similar field.
- Or be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a master’s programme, or higher).
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- Have recently graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation.
- Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertake the internship as part of this program.
