Overview
The role involves supporting a Polish Translation Unit within the Directorate-General for Translation by processing daily workflow, ensuring documentation accuracy and consistency, and performing preliminary linguistic checks. The agent will also assist with terminology queries and manage outsourced translation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing efficiently the daily workflow of incoming and outgoing documents (i.e. originals and translations).
- Supporting the unit by ensuring the accuracy and consistency of documentation.
- Performing preliminary linguistic checks.
- Performing final technical checks.
- Assisting with terminology queries.
- Managing outsourced translation workflows, IT applications and processes.
- Constant communication with colleagues within the unit, other colleagues within DGT, the requesters (in other directorates) and external stakeholders (such as DGT's contractors).
Required Experience
Experience in administrative support, in particular in the field of translation, will be an advantage.
Qualifications
- A level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma, or
- A level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education, and appropriate professional experience of at least three years.
