Overview
The Linguist Agent will support the Portuguese Language Community within the Directorate-General for Translation (DGT) of the European Commission. The role involves diverse linguistic and administrative tasks to ensure efficient translation workflows and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of internal and external translation workflows
- IT-based translation processing tasks (pre- and post-processing)
- Translation data management
- Quality assurance activities
- Documentary research
- Terminology support
- Collaborative platform management
- Standard secretarial and administrative functions using MS Outlook, M365, and internal DGT software
Required Experience
Appropriate professional experience of at least three years, if secondary education diploma is the highest qualification.
Qualifications
- A level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma, OR
- A level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education
