Overview
The role is responsible for coordinating and ensuring the delivery of programmes in accordance with signed agreements and project documents, and for writing project proposals to meet food insecurity and nutrition needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and ensure programmes are delivered in accordance with signed agreements and project documents.
- Write project proposals that meet food insecurity and nutrition needs.
- Ensure programme expenditures align with project budgets.
- Groom and mentor the team, supporting their careers and upskilling.
- Liaise with government and non-governmental partners for coordination and strategic design.
- Coordinate with internal WFP units for timely programme implementation.
- Ensure programmes are implemented with highest standards, ethics, and humanitarian principles.
- Produce and contribute to briefs, presentations, and reports.
- Undertake desk research using qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods.
- Support capacity strengthening in emergency response.
- Engage in EPR activities for cross-functional learning.
- Conduct desk research, reviews, and analyses relating to crises and EPR issues.
- Support the synthesis and production of Gulf of Guinea contextual risks analysis.
- Support protection and accountability to affected populations through field missions and community engagement.
- Support the design and implementation of knowledge management strategy.
Required Experience
Minimum of two years of experience in Emergency Preparedness Response preferably in the humanitarian or international development context.
Qualifications
Advanced University Degree in Public Administration
