Overview
Support the development and implementation of an operational PSEAH Work Plan and contribute to the inclusion of PSEAH within the IOM Country Office Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of an operational PSEAH Work Plan.
- Support the inclusion of PSEAH within the IOM Country Office Strategy.
- Contribute to the in-country interagency PSEA Network.
- Contribute to the collection, analysis and use of data related to PSEAH efforts.
- Support assessments to identify SEAH risks and define appropriate mitigation measures.
- Participate in the development of a PSEAH training plan for the Country Office and coordinate, organize, and deliver PSEAH trainings.
- Compile and report data on the number of IOM personnel and partners trained in country on PSEAH.
- Continually share key messages on PSEAH.
- Participate in the development, localization and contextualization, and implementation of communication and awareness-raising strategies and tools.
- Map existing community engagement projects in country and work with programme/project managers to gather community inputs.
- Support the development and mapping of country-specific interagency victim assistance pathways.
- Safely respond to SEAH disclosures and facilitate referrals for victim assistance.
- Regularly monitor safety and other risks for SEAH victims/survivors.
- Undertake duty travel as required.
Required Experience
- Four years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, International Relations, Psychology, Social Sciences, Development Studies and Planning or a related field.
- Six years of relevant professional experience with a High School Degree/Certificate in the above fields.
- Experience in the fields of protection from sexual exploitation and abuse, sexual harassment, protection, child protection, gender-based violence, accountability to affected populations (AAP), gender mainstreaming and/or humanitarian affairs.
- Experience in management of sexual exploitation and abuse, sexual harassment, child protection or gender-based violence cases.
- Coordination experience within the UN system and amongst interagency partners, including governments, NGOs, and communities.
- Experience in developing and facilitating trainings, in particular capacity-building, and communication materials to promote behavior change.
- Experience undertaking risk assessments.
- Experience in proposal development and the creation of standard operating procedures and tools.
- Experience in mainstreaming PSEAH, gender-based violence, child protection, protection, gender or accountability to affected populations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, International Relations, Psychology, Social Sciences, Development Studies and Planning or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
- High School Degree/Certificate in the above fields.
