Overview
The Administrative Support Intern will assist in the compilation, verification, and review of data and supporting documentation for financial and administrative reports. The role involves extracting and analyzing data from the UN Enterprise Resource Planning system and supporting the preparation of Terms of Reference for operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the compilation, verification, and review of data and supporting documentation for financial and administrative reports.
- Assist in the extraction and preliminary analysis of data from the UN Enterprise Resource Planning system (Umoja).
- Assist in the preparation of Terms of Reference related to operational needs.
- Support the preparation of meetings and trainings.
- Assist in the migration, organization, and restructuring of AFMU folders to the SharePoint platform.
- Provide support during the year end closure exercise.
- Support the updating of internal administrative workflows.
- Support the upgrade and optimization of internal processing workflows.
- Assist with inventory management.
- Support the review, organization, and disposal of obsolete physical and electronic files.
- Perform any other related administrative duties as required.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. A field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
Qualifications
- Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- Preferred area of study: A degree programme in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information or Data Management, Management, Operations, or a related field.
