Overview
The Regional Operations Specialist will provide operational support for field programmes, including emergency, rehabilitation, and development projects, as well as regional/global projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate budgetary management and monitoring expenditures for programmes and projects.
- Ensure adequate programme and operational support is provided to the implementation of Animal Health and One Health programmes and projects.
- Participate in the preparation of project work plans, monitor progress and identify corrective measures.
- Handle day-to-day programme and operational aspects of projects and programmes.
- Contribute/Assist to the formulation of project proposals and prepare project documents.
- Maintain and update information systems and databases.
- Assist in operating thematic activities linked to the overall Animal Production System and One Health (APSOH) programme.
- Ensure timely procurement of services and materials.
- Monitor the implementation of efficient financial flow mechanisms.
- Oversee work plan and budget delivery monitoring.
- Maintain coordination and communication with respective Administrative Units.
- Assist in coordinating timely preparation of programme progress reports.
- Contribute to the preparation of Regional Team meetings.
- Organize all official international travels for staff and non-staff.
- Support resources mobilization efforts.
- Perform other functions as required.
Required Experience
- • At least five years of relevant experience in operations.
- Consultants with a bachelor's degree need two additional years of relevant professional experience.
Qualifications
- Advanced University degree from an institution recognized by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/UNESCO in public or business administration, finance, accounting, economics, social sciences or other related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, finance, accounting, economics, social sciences or other related fields.
