Overview

The assignment aims to ensure that analytical outputs and policy inputs are effectively translated into actionable recommendations, contribute to government and partner dialogue, and improve the adequacy, equity, and efficiency of investments targeting vulnerable children.

Required Experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible professional experience in social policy, public finance, and / or social protection is a mandatory requirement.
  • Strong familiarity with Lebanon’s socio economic and institutional context.
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging with government counterparts on policy dialogue, reform processes, and coordination is required.
  • Strong analytical capacity in public and social policy including public expenditure analysis, fiscal policy, and macro-economic policy is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in social protection systems and child poverty analysis is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of Lebanon’s socio economic and institutional context, including national reform priorities and the National Social Protection Strategy is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging with government counterparts and development partners on policy dialogue, reform design, and coordination is highly desirable.
  • Experience with UN agencies, international financial institutions, government entities, and / or development partners is an asset.
Qualifications

• Master’s degree in economics or related fields, public policy, social policy, development studies, public administration, political science, or a closely related field.
