Overview

The Programme Associate, Social Protection will support the coordination and implementation of WFP's social protection activities in Timor-Leste, focusing on strengthening national social protection systems and advancing project initiatives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the coordination of WFP’s social protection activities, liaising with teams and government counterparts.
  • Assist in implementing social protection activities, particularly the BDMK SANUTRIO programme.
  • Contribute to programme support tasks, including drafting programme documents and assisting with municipal-level activities.
  • Support the development and organization of project tools and documents.
  • Assist in maintaining partnerships with government entities and development partners.
  • Contribute to reporting and information sharing by collecting updates and preparing written inputs.
  • Support research, analysis, and learning tasks.
  • Assist with capacity-building and training initiatives.
  • Support internal coordination and workflow management.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings, assisting with note-taking and follow-up actions.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience

1 month Donor priorities . Nationality Candidate must be a national of a country other than the country of assignment. Additional eligibility criteria ELIGIBILITY As this assignment is funded by KOICA, specific eligibility criteria apply: - Applicants must be Korean nationals aged between 18 and 29 years at the time of application. - Applicants must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree, or have graduated within the past 12 months at the time of application. - Applicants must not have more than 12 months of relevant professional experience at the time of application. - Individuals who have previously served under a KOICA-funded UN University Volunteer assignment are not eligible. Relevant experience No experience required Demonstrated interest or experience (up to 12 months) in international development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in (currently enrolled or recent graduate) Social Sciences, International Affairs, Economics, Nutrition/Health, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Public Administration, Public Policy, or other field relevant to international development assistance.
