Overview
To develop and enhance policies, procedures, and systems to enable functional excellence in award delivery. Provides support and insights to enable portfolio management, drive performance, and manage risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Award Management Functional Excellence team with information management and compliance with award management and project management systems and processes.
- Develop, maintain and continuously improve documents, learning materials, procedures, and tools.
- Champion processes and ensure they are understood by stakeholders, embed best practices, strengthen system utilisation, and enable data driven decision making.
- Collaborate proactively with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure effective dissemination and consistent adoption across the organisation.
- Design, deliver and facilitate targeted capacity-building initiatives for diverse stakeholders.
- Work in close partnership with AMS and PRIME System teams, Data Analytics, Business Partners, and Country and Member offices to prepare and analyse data, identify process and system pain points, conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with stakeholders to propose solutions.
- Provide operational support on problem solving of issues and risks escalated to the Head that require analysis, information gathering, or performing required tasks and activities.
Required Experience
- Administrative or operational roles, preferably within the I/NGO sector.
- Coordination and support of project or programme activities and using data to analyse performance and provide management reports to Senior leadership.
- Award management, project management, including monitoring and donor reporting.
- Working with institutional donors such as USAID, EU, UN, FCDO etc.
- Implementing award management systems and processes.
- Supporting compliance and quality assurance within an international NGO setting; experience in developing and maintain learning materials, delivery trainings and capacity building support to diverse audience.
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject (e.g. International Development, Project Management, Finance, Humanitarian/Human rights, etc.) or qualified by equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects and responsibilities effectively.
- Strong knowledge of award management, project management, and donor compliance requirements.
- Understanding of financial management, budgeting, and reporting principles relevant to award and project management.
