Overview

This internship focuses on digital simulation development within the Office of Information and Communications Technology. The intern will contribute to application deployment and testing.


Key Responsibilities
  • Writing C# or Java backend and react frontend code
  • Using AI services via API
  • Deploying and testing application
  • Code commit to git
  • Participating in the weekly spring meetings
  • Preparing documentation
  • Preparing demo and demonstrate the application to an audience
Required Experience

No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme.

Qualifications
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or,
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent).
  • Shall be able to write code in java or C# and use appropriate software development tools (git, etc.)

Languages Required
Fluency in English is required for the internship.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish) is an advantage.

Remuneration
The internship is UNPAID and full-time. Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
