Overview

The M&E Officer will contribute to the effective implementation of the Reporting, Monitoring, and Evaluation (M&E) framework for joint programs aimed at promoting the roles of youth and women in peacebuilding and sustainable development.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting the management team in the design of documents related to reporting, partnerships, fundraising, strategic planning, etc.;
  • Reviewing and revising existing monitoring and reporting tools to support field office managers and teams in discharging their M&E responsibilities;
  • Collecting regular reports from field office managers and teams in a timely manner;
  • Liaising with all relevant units of the Secretariat to provide the necessary data and reports regarding the impact of the partnership between UNESCO and the UNESCO Special Envoy for Peace and Reconciliation;
  • Analyzing and presenting high-quality data generated from WPDI activities;
  • Providing input to the management team on evaluation needs based on agreements with donors and partners;
  • Supporting the team in the identification, documentation, and synthesis of lessons learned and best practices to be integrated into the M&E framework.
Required Experience

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in M&E, preferably in the field of international development.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in social sciences (Economics, Sociology, etc.), Statistics, Public / Non-Profit / Business Administration, or other relevant fields of study.

Excellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

Ability to work in French and/or Spanish would be a plus.
