Overview
The Country Officer will support and help coordinate IFC’s activities across Singapore and Brunei, focusing on business development, government engagement, event coordination, and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to country strategy and work program implementation, including market mapping and pipeline tracking.
- Conduct research on companies and sectors to identify opportunities.
- Monitor economic, policy, and regulatory developments.
- Maintain relationships with government entities and development partners.
- Support coordination of government outreach and dialogue.
- Plan and deliver events and business development engagements.
- Manage end-to-end event logistics and prepare event materials.
- Support organization of senior management visits and missions.
- Provide front-office administrative and operational support.
- Support operational processes and information management.
Required Experience
- Minimum 8-10 years supporting private sector development, advisory/investment-related work, and business development in a country office/front office setting.
- Experience supporting government engagement and relationship management.
- Demonstrated strength in planning and executing high-quality events and multi-stakeholder engagements.
- Demonstrated experience supporting senior management missions/visits.
- Demonstrated ability to provide front office administrative and operational support.
- Experience contributing to management reporting.
- Familiarity with corporate operational processes.
- Experience in Singapore and/or familiarity with Brunei is an advantage.
Qualifications
• Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Public Policy, International Relations, Communications, or another relevant field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
