Overview
The Operations Analyst will provide substantive operational, project, research, statistical, and other analytical support to the Syria work program. The role involves contributing to operational activities, conducting research, and interacting with government agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Contributes to operational activities at all stages of project design and implementation.
- Carries out research and analytical tasks on country issues and maintains informational databases.
- Drafts sections of briefing materials and prepares materials for portfolio reviews.
- Interacts with country and task team members and government agencies on strategic cooperation documents.
- Works closely with the Country Director on portfolio monitoring and data analysis.
- Coordinates with IFC teams to ensure alignment with broader IFC strategy.
- Analyzes projects at completion.
- Undertakes research and analytical tasks on specific country issues.
- Interacts with government agencies in the formulation and implementation of strategic cooperation documents.
- Supports practice group teams in mission scheduling and meeting arrangements.
- Provides support to World Bank missions and staff visits.
- Other tasks, as needed.
Required Experience
Minimum 2 years relevant experience. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree with significant demonstrated experience working in fragile, conflict, and violence-affected (FCV) environments, including significant direct relevant experience in the duty country, may be considered.
Qualifications
Master's degree. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree with significant demonstrated experience may be considered.
