Overview
The consultant will manage and maintain enterprise Windows Server environments on-premises and in public cloud, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance. The role involves deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows servers, administering Active Directory, and implementing monitoring solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain enterprise Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022) on-premises and in public cloud (AWS, Azure, OCI).
- Deploy Windows servers using certified images and perform OS configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Execute regular OS patching and vulnerability remediation.
- Administer Active Directory, NTFS/CIFS share permissions, and Privileged Access Management (PAM) tools.
- Implement monitoring and alerting using CrowdStrike and Splunk.
- Apply PowerShell scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to streamline and automate infrastructure operations.
- Contribute to incident, problem, and change management via Service CMDB.
- Collaborate in a SAFe Agile environment.
- Maintain accurate system and procedural documentation.
- Adhere to WBG policies and support continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate ownership in resolving client issues promptly.
- Participate in the team's on-call production support rotation.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (for example, in the IT field: Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 1 year of related work experience).
- Windows Administration experience.
- Develop Infrastructure as Codes Templates using Terraform.
- Deploy and Manage Windows servers across the platforms.
- Managing Microsoft Hyper-V and Windows Clusters.
- Managing Active Directory Domains, users, groups and group policies.
- Experience with Windows Server Administration on VMWare AWS, OCI and Azure Cloud.
- Collaborates within team and across boundaries.
- Experience in security and compliance with Windows servers and related controls.
- Experience operating in SAFe Agile environments as a contributing member of SAFe teams.
- Ability and willingness to work, learn and contribute to internationally diverse team environment.
