Overview
The role involves driving assigned IOM office vehicles and managing their day-to-day maintenance to ensure roadworthiness. The successful candidate will provide safe and reliable transportation for IOM personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive assigned IOM office vehicle(s).
- Manage the day-to-day maintenance of the vehicle.
- Arrange for minor repairs and ensure vehicles are kept clean.
- Ensure vehicles undertake regular service intervals.
- Provide safe, timely, and reliable transportation for senior personnel.
- Find the most direct and safe route to the destination.
- Ensure vehicle is used only for official/authorized business.
- Prepare daily logbook sheets.
- Collect and deliver mail, documents, and other items.
- Assist with simple clerical duties when needed.
Required Experience
- Valid national driver’s license, for both car and motorbike with at least five years driving experience.
- Knowledge of driving rules and regulations.
- Experience in driving a variety of makes and models of vehicles.
- Skills in minor vehicle repairs.
- Knowledge of radio, email, telephone and other applications.
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Qualifications
• High school degree/certificate and relevant working experience.
