Overview

The role involves driving assigned IOM office vehicles and managing their day-to-day maintenance to ensure roadworthiness. The successful candidate will provide safe and reliable transportation for IOM personnel.


Key Responsibilities
  • Drive assigned IOM office vehicle(s).
  • Manage the day-to-day maintenance of the vehicle.
  • Arrange for minor repairs and ensure vehicles are kept clean.
  • Ensure vehicles undertake regular service intervals.
  • Provide safe, timely, and reliable transportation for senior personnel.
  • Find the most direct and safe route to the destination.
  • Ensure vehicle is used only for official/authorized business.
  • Prepare daily logbook sheets.
  • Collect and deliver mail, documents, and other items.
  • Assist with simple clerical duties when needed.
Required Experience
  • Valid national driver’s license, for both car and motorbike with at least five years driving experience.
  • Knowledge of driving rules and regulations.
  • Experience in driving a variety of makes and models of vehicles.
  • Skills in minor vehicle repairs.
  • Knowledge of radio, email, telephone and other applications.
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Qualifications

• High school degree/certificate and relevant working experience.
