Overview

The Landscape Project Coordinator will support the implementation of a GEF-7 project focused on sustainable management and restoration of degraded landscapes in India.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, coordination, and implementation of project activities.
  • Coordinate with the Landscape Level Coordinating Committee.
  • Assist in developing landscape specific annual work plans.
  • Ensure regular communication and coordination with project management units and stakeholders.
  • Assist in budgeting and ensure information flow among stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress against the approved workplan and project result framework.
  • Interact with other departments for convergence and knowledge sharing.
  • Provide inputs for timely submission of progress reports.
  • Support in recording and collecting project expenditure at the landscape level.
  • Perform other project-related tasks assigned by supervisors.
Required Experience
  • 3 years of experience.
  • 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Finance, operations, administration and preferably in the Nandurbar District.
  • Experience of working with international organizations, NGOs/ INGOs including the UN in implementation of projects with central ministries.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office-Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Intra-Internet, e-mail applications etc.
  • Ability to build and maintain constructive relationships with colleagues.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work with minimum supervision and handle tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel.
Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management and Coordination

Remuneration
• Monthly Voluntary Living Allowance (VLA): INR 70,158.41 • Entry lump sum (one-time payment): USD 350 (equivalent in INR) • Annual leave: 2.5 days per month • Relocation costs: $175 at the beginning and end of the assignment, if duty station is outside of commuting distance (as determined by UNV) • Exit allowance (paid on successful completion of the assignment): $120 for each month served, paid on completion of contract • Insurance: Comprehensive coverage for health, life, and malicious acts for the UN Volunteer and health insurance coverage for up to 3 eligible dependents • Learning: Access to UNV's learning and career development resources
