Overview

The Landscape Project Officer will support the Divisional Forest Officer in the planning, coordination, and implementation of project activities related to sustainable management and restoration of degraded landscapes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, coordination, and implementation of project activities.
  • Assume responsibility for landscape-level project activity implementation.
  • Ensure communication and coordination with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with relevant line departments and technical institutions.
  • Develop landscape-specific annual work plans and ensure timely reporting.
  • Facilitate and participate in review meetings and prepare minutes.
  • Support in developing Terms of Reference for consultants and contracting processes.
  • Identify capacity development needs and arrange trainings.
  • Collate and provide inputs for progress reports and financial reports.
  • Provide inputs for progress against workplan and results framework.
  • Prepare for financial audits and processes.
  • Liaise with district and state departments for convergence with schemes.
  • Disseminate best practices and knowledge products.
  • Support in developing new proposals for resource mobilization.
  • Track and manage project expenditure at landscape level.
  • Manage and track contracts with project partners and flag risks.
  • Assist in project evaluations.
  • Perform other project-related tasks assigned.
Required Experience
  • 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience of working with international organizations, NGOs/ INGOs including the UN in implementation of projects.
Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Life Sciences (Botany & Zoology), Environmental Science and related field.

Remuneration
• Monthly Voluntary Living Allowance (VLA): INR 70158.41 • Entry lump sum (one-time payment): USD 350 (equivalent in INR) • Relocation costs: $175 at the beginning and end of the assignment if the duty station is outside of commuting distance • Exit allowance (paid on successful completion of the assignment): $120 for each month served • Insurance: Comprehensive coverage for health, life, and malicious acts • Annual leave: 2.5 days per month • Learning: Access to UNV's learning and career development resources
