Overview
This position provides direct case management, individual counseling, and group-based psychosocial activities for women and girls in a Women's Safe Space. The objective is to offer age-appropriate case management services to GBV survivors, supporting their safety assessment, needs identification, and plan development.
Key Responsibilities
- Reinforce adherence to GBV guiding principles and survivor-centered support.
- Provide age-appropriate case management, including needs assessment, basic crisis counseling, safety strategizing, action plan development, and referrals.
- Collaborate with the health team for safe and confidential access to GBV and health services.
- Provide services to child and adolescent GBV survivors, including case management and best interest determination.
- Lead age-appropriate and specialized group emotional services.
- Work with the WPE team to address evolving needs.
- Identify and report concerns related to GBV referral protocols and guiding principles.
- Maintain effective working relationships with partners.
- Complete monthly activity reports.
- Maintain detailed and confidential case files.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Gender and/or GBV.
- Professional experience in counseling and implementing activities for women and girls or proven engagement in women’s rights/groups.
- Demonstrated dedication to women’s empowerment and protection through current/previous volunteer or paid work in women’s groups, girls’ clubs or other relevant experience is an added advantage.
Qualifications
Minimum Graduation in Psychology/ Gender or Women’s Studies/ Social Work/ Social Science or other relevant subjects.
