Overview
Provide technical expertise, coordination, and quality assurance support for the implementation of activities related to the assessment of the women's entrepreneurship ecosystem and mapping of human resource and skills needs in the private sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide substantive technical input to the implementation company on the design, methodology, and execution of activities.
- Ensure the application of the ILO Women’s Entrepreneurship Development (WED) Assessment methodology.
- Advise on integrating gender-responsive and human rights-based approaches.
- Provide guidance on incorporating a legal review, including family-friendly policies.
- Facilitate coordination with key national stakeholders.
- Support engagement with stakeholders involved in the HR mapping exercise.
- Work in close collaboration with the International Consultant on all deliverables.
- Ensure that all outputs meet high-quality analytical standards.
- Verify the accuracy, relevance, and contextual appropriateness of findings and recommendations.
- Contribute to the refinement of research questions, analytical frameworks, and data collection methodologies.
- Support the interpretation of findings and ensure that conclusions reflect the national context.
- Provide inputs to strengthen policy recommendations.
- Ensure timely progress of activities in line with agreed timelines and milestones.
- Contribute to the validation of findings.
- Support the finalization of the comprehensive assessment of the women’s entrepreneurship ecosystem and the mapping report on human resource and skills needs.
- Regularly report to UN Women on progress, challenges, and risks.
- Provide brief technical notes or summaries as requested.
Required Experience
- At least 8 years of progressively responsible experience in women’s economic empowerment, livelihood recovery, or employment-related programming.
- Proven experience in designing and/or implementing skills mapping, gap analyses, and financial literacy or vocational training programmes.
- Experience working with public institutions, private sector, and CSOs on women’s economic empowerment.
- Demonstrated ability to apply gender-responsive approaches in the design and delivery of services.
- Experience with results-based management, reporting, and monitoring tools is an asset.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in economics, gender studies, development studies, or a related field.
- A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
