Overview
Develop a guidebook on the Personal Data Protection Law in Jordan to ensure effective application and institutional commitment. The guidebook aims to translate legal text into actionable procedures and build institutional capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Review national documents related to digital transformation and personal data protection in Jordan.
- Review at least three regional and three international best practices for PDP implementation guidebooks.
- Identify key national stakeholders and conduct interviews/meetings with public and private sector representatives.
- Draft a guidebook based on needs, gap analysis, best practices, and SWOT analysis, ensuring clear examples for each concept.
- Contribute to national workshops and capture discussion comments.
- Update the draft proposal based on feedback from ESCWA, MoDEE, and stakeholders.
- Ensure gender considerations and youth dimension are addressed throughout the research work, using gender-sensitive language.
Required Experience
• At least 5 years of experience in data privacy.
Qualifications
- An advanced university degree in law (specializing in IT, Privacy, or Digital Law) or a related field is required.
- A Ph.D. degree is desirable.
- Certificates in Information Privacy such as CIPP, CIPM, CIPT are desirable.
