Overview
UNICEF is seeking licensed engineers to join a pre-qualified roster for technical engineering support for WASH and other construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical engineering support for WASH and other construction activities.
- Prepare Terms of Reference (TOR) for required services under supervision.
- Conduct field visits for technical assessments and stakeholder engagement.
- Integrate climate risk assessments and apply climate-resilient design standards.
- Provide supervision for quality assurance, OHS/ESHS, accessibility/inclusive design.
- Design, installation, operation, and maintenance of solar water pumps and renewable energy sources for WASH facilities.
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in design and/or supervision of WASH infrastructure and/or institutional facility construction/rehabilitation.
- Experience in conducting field visits for technical assessments and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in engineering design and documentation (e.g., AutoCAD or equivalent), BOQ preparation, and MS Office.
- Experience integrating climate risk assessments and applying climate-resilient design standards in WASH and/or infrastructure projects is an asset.
- Familiarity with quality assurance, OHS/ESHS supervision, accessibility/inclusive design, and emergency response settings are an advantage.
- Experience in the design, installation, operation and maintenance of solar water pumps and other similar renewable energy sources for WASH facilities is an asset.
- Previous record and experience of working with UNICEF or UN is a plus.
Qualifications
• University degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline.
