Overview
The consultant will be responsible for implementing UN Women's private sector engagement strategy, focusing on partnership building and resource mobilization. A key role will be managing the national process and milestones for the 2026 Asia Pacific WEPs Awards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the national-level WEPs Awards process, including FAQ support, initial scoring, and jury panel onboarding.
- Secure and onboard a jury panel of external experts.
- Select and notify shortlisted companies for the WEPs Awards.
- Develop a detailed workplan and supporting documents for the 2026 China WEPs Awards Ceremony.
- Plan key activities, identify partners, and create a tentative guest list for the ceremony.
- Develop concept notes, invitations, presentation materials, and other required documents for the ceremony.
- Create an event venue and logistics plan.
- Draft marketing and communications content.
- Conduct targeted outreach to high-potential private sector organizations for strategic partnerships and resource mobilization.
- Secure new sponsors for the 2026 China WEPs Awards Ceremony.
- Complete post-event communications and a summary of lessons learned.
Required Experience
- At least 2 years of work experience in or with private sector entities, preferably in strategy consulting, fundraising, marketing, public relations, resource mobilization, business development, and/or partnerships.
- At least 2 years of work experience in fundraising and resource mobilization, as well as partnership building, especially with the private sector in China and through innovative funding models.
- At least 2 years of work experience in designing, planning, coordinating, and/or executing high-level events, engagements, and convenings with private sector entities.
- Experience working in the fields of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls is an advantage.
- Experience in managing senior private sector relationships in China is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Business or Business Administration (finance, marketing, international business, etc.), Economics, Public Policy, or a related field is required.
- A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
