Overview
The Investment Analyst will support the implementation of the Digital Access and Affordability sector’s investments and solutions work, focusing on developing new business, executing transactions, and supporting portfolio investments globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in the design and implementation of investment, guarantee, and other solutions.
- Assisting the identification of new approaches from partners, business models and financing structures.
- Assisting in screening and analyzing new business opportunities, including building and reviewing financial models.
- Preparing investment proposal documents.
- Conducting industry and market research including sector mappings and industry trends.
- Contributing to the development and reporting of sector strategy.
- Supporting business development efforts, including preparing pitch books and presentations.
- Monitoring portfolio performance.
- Organizing webinars and conferences and disseminating lessons learned.
- Working with WBG teams to support the design and implementation of solutions.
Required Experience
At least 2 years of relevant work experience at an international investment bank, commercial bank, private equity firm, consulting, or asset management firm. Previous exposure to the digital infrastructure, digital development or TMT sector is a plus.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree from a renowned university (preferably with a specialization in Finance, Business, or Economics).
