Overview

The Contracts Officer will support procurement and contract management activities, provide technical and administrative support, and help ensure compliance with UNICEF policies and procedures in Haiti's complex humanitarian environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting timely and cost-effective procurement and contracting activities, including during emergency responses.
  • Maintaining contract tracking systems and procurement monitoring tools to ensure effective oversight and follow-up of assigned activities.
  • Building and maintaining effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders through strong coordination, communication, and collaboration.
  • Providing backup support to Supply and Logistics operations, including acting on behalf of the Supply/Logistics Officer when required.
Required Experience

A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in procurement planning and market optimization is required. Proven supervisory experience is required. Experience in supply chain, logistics, contract and vendor management in humanitarian settings is highly desirable. Relevant experience in low-income countries is an asset.

Qualifications

A completed First level university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) relevant to the position, such as Business Administration, Supply chain management, Logistics, Procurement, Public administration, Law, International business, Economics, Management or any related field is required.

Fluency in English and intermediate level of French is required.
Languages Preferred
Fluency in French is desirable. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
