Overview
The intern will assist with the daily activities of the Facilitated Migration and Vulnerable Groups Unit, in accordance with IOM policy and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Familiarizing with EU funded projects, their implementation, evaluation, monitoring and reporting;
- Mapping policies, practices and tools, complementary pathways and resettlement programmes in Europe and beyond;
- Familiarizing with pre-departure orientation (PDO) training materials;
- Identifying the main elements of possible training materials;
- Carrying out research activities and collection of information relevant for the implementation of projects’ activities;
- Creating contents dedicated to specific projects to be shared through IOM’s communication tools;
- Attending internal and external meetings related to IOM and Unit’s projects related activities;
- Performing such other duties as may be assigned.
Required Experience
- Less than two years of relevant working experience.
- Previous experience in the development and or implementation of EU Funded projects an advantage;
- Previous experience in the field of migration would be considered an advantage.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent);
- Be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
- Have graduated with one of the above university degrees and, if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation.
