Overview

The internship programme is for a period of two to six months, depending on the needs of the division. The intern is to report to the People Operations and Talent Acquisition Unit of the Human Resources Management Section (HRMS), Division of Administration (DA).


Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting in social media outreach (e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter)
  • Conducting recruiting outreach
  • Assisting with administration related to the internship programme
  • Implementing and maintaining social networking campaigns
  • Assisting with communication materials related to recruitment
  • Coordinating with different stakeholders
  • Compiling statistics related to recruitment
  • Generating a variety of standard data entry using databases in Excel
  • Reviewing and providing input on the design of HR dashboards and compilation of statistical data
  • Providing administrative support to ongoing projects
Required Experience

No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme.

Qualifications
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or,
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent).
Other Details
Languages Required
Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.

Remuneration
The internship is UNPAID and full-time. Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
