Overview
The role provides programmatic expertise and follow-up in mainstreaming gender in OSCE programmes, projects, and activities, particularly those related to economic and environmental security.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing knowledge and expertise on integrating a gender perspective in programmes and projects, especially in economic and environmental affairs.
- Providing technical expertise and inputs on priority issues of gender mainstreaming, including to senior management.
- Drafting briefings, proposals, and reports related to the promotion of gender equality.
- Drafting talking points and statements for senior management and representing the Senior Adviser on Gender Issues in meetings.
- Advising on designing and implementing projects and promoting the inclusion of a gender perspective in comprehensive security.
- Monitoring project implementation within OSCE standards and the 2004 Action Plan for the Promotion of Gender Equality.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- A minimum of five years of professional experience in gender issues, human rights, economic or environmental issues.
- Seven years of relevant experience with a first-level university degree.
- Solid experience in programme management in bi- or multi-lateral development organizations, including field operations.
Qualifications
- A second-level university degree in gender studies, international relations, political sciences, economics, environmental sciences or other relevant field.
- A first-level university degree in the said fields in combination with two additional years of relevant experience will be accepted in lieu of the second-level university degree.
