Overview

The Capacity Development Analyst will coordinate the planning, development, and implementation of capacity development processes and initiatives, monitor project progress, and establish partnerships to facilitate information sharing and advocacy.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate planning, conceptualization, development, and implementation of capacity development processes.
  • Organize and oversee implementation of project capacity development and awareness-raising initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and piloting of models for community-based one-stop shops for victims assistance.
  • Support mine victims-related centres and facilities in selected regions on capacity development.
  • Support the implementation of capacity development services and ensure quality assessment of external consultant products.
  • Ensure coherence and synergies of project capacity-development interventions with other initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on progress in implementing project activities and achieving targets.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and monitoring processes.
  • Monitor the impact of project capacity development activities.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project progress reports and monitoring and evaluation meetings.
  • Establish partnerships and open channels of communication with national and local authorities, public and private entities, and other key stakeholders.
  • Support local authorities, service providers, and national partners in reviewing capacities and designing capacity enhancement modules.
  • Provide support to local administrations to identify gaps and needs, and design capacity enhancement initiatives/develop curricula.
  • Provide technical advice and liaise with key stakeholders, officials, and experts.
  • Facilitate information and knowledge sharing and advocacy relevant to the assigned thematic area.
  • Contribute to public awareness activities.
  • Prepare regular and on-request reports.
  • Establish and maintain a database on training institutions and individuals operating in the rehabilitation sector.
  • Lead the production of online learning/training materials, programmes, and tools.
  • Coordinate research, analysis, assessment, and evaluations on rehabilitation and disability inclusion.
  • Establish and maintain a knowledge management system on rehabilitation and disability inclusion.
  • Coordinate development, production, and sharing of thematic knowledge products.
  • Participate in project and portfolio activities and contribute to their preparation, implementation, and follow-up.
  • Identify, synthesize, and document best practices and lessons learned.
  • Ensure mainstreaming of disability inclusion and gender equality considerations.
  • Perform other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary.
Required Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years (with master’s degree) or 4 years (with Bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience at the national or international level in institutional reform and capacity building of public institutions, in project management or related area.
  • Excellent knowledge of computer applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading needs assessments and conceptualizing, designing, and delivering capacity enhancement initiatives, in cooperation with national and local authorities.
  • Previous experience in mobilizing national and international expertise for institutional reform and capacity development.
  • Proven experience in cooperation with governmental structures, international agencies, civil society organizations.
  • Prior experience in delivering trainings, workshops, seminars.
Qualifications
  • Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, International Relations, Social Sciences or related discipline is required.
  • OR a first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the Master’s degree.
