Overview
The individual contractor will strengthen digital communications, branding, and outreach efforts for the Midterm Review (MTR) of the Doha Programme of Action.
Key Responsibilities
- Redesign and fully functional LDC-V conference website, including improved UX/UI, updated information architecture, and mobile-responsive design.
- Enhance UN-OHRLLS corporate website with updated content, improved navigation, and optimized performance, including regular maintenance and updates.
- Produce a suite of digital and multimedia advocacy materials (e.g., infographics, videos, social media assets) supporting MTR outreach campaigns.
Required Experience
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in public information, strategic communications, web development, or related fields is required.
- Experience working with international organizations and knowledge management platforms is highly desirable.
- Prior experience with the United Nations system is an asset.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree in public information, communications, journalism, marketing, web development, or a related field is required.
- A first-level university degree combined with additional qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills is required.
- Advanced expertise in website content management systems, particularly Drupal, is required.
- Proficiency with graphic design and multimedia software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Canva) is required.
- Solid understanding of digital communications strategies, user experience (UX) design, and accessibility standards is required.
