Overview
The consultant will support the implementation of the Viva o Verde SP project, focusing on developing a proposal for intersectoral coordination to enable the implementation of a co-management and territorial planning unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the consultancy work plan.
- Map relevant initiatives, best practices and key concepts.
- Systematize and analyze multistakeholder initiatives.
- Organize and facilitate meetings and collaborative activities.
- Support the organization and facilitation of meetings with stakeholders.
- Organize and conduct technical meetings, workshops, interviews and other required events.
- Deliver all documentation and data used in the preparation of the report.
- Systematize and consolidate the outputs into a final synthesis document.
Required Experience
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience in sustainable urban development public policies in Brazil is required.
- Proven track record in leading collaborative governance processes and multi-stakeholder coordination.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate participatory processes is required.
- Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation of public policies is required.
- Background in working with public spaces is desirable.
- Good knowledge of international, national or subnational good practices of sustainable urban development systems is desirable.
- Previous experience within the UN System is desirable.
Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree (Lato Sensu or Stricto Sensu) in Urban Planning, Architecture and Urbanism, Public Administration, Geography, Political Science, Sociology, or related fields is required, or additional five (5) years of relevant experience to the post, beyond the requirement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism, Public Administration, Geography, Political Science, or related fields is required.
