Overview
Provide technical support to contextualize and roll-out the UPSHIFT methodology to strengthen entrepreneurship and livelihoods among Youth Community Health Workers (YCHWs). The assignment aims to create an enterprising cadre of YCHWs capable of innovating and developing sustainable income-generating ventures.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in youth empowerment, social innovation, entrepreneurship development, skills development, or livelihoods programming.
- Demonstrated experience in the adaptation and implementation of the UPSHIFT methodology or comparable youth social innovation and human-centred design (HCD) approaches.
- Proven track record in designing and delivering Training of Trainers (ToT) programmes and building the capacity of government, civil society, and youth-led organizations.
- Experience supporting the development of entrepreneurship, employability, and income-generation initiatives for adolescents and young people, particularly in low-resource settings.
- Experience working with UN agencies, governments, development partners, or international NGOs is highly desirable.
- Experience in Sub-Saharan Africa, and familiarity with Zimbabwe or similar contexts, will be an added advantage.
