Internship opportunities at UNICEF's Global Shared Services Centre in Budapest, Hungary, designed to provide eligible students with practical experience in UNICEF's work and its core values.
Key Responsibilities
- Support in visual design tasks, such as editing presentations, flyers or other visual materials.
- Write articles for the GSSC’s internal SharePoint site.
- Provide administrative SharePoint support to GSSC colleagues.
- Provide administrative support to the team as required.
- Support planning and execution of internal communications campaigns.
- Support staff engagement initiatives.
- Support the production of the GSSC’s podcast: Talking GSSC
- Work with diverse datasets of varying complexity to design and conduct analyses.
- Apply and experiment with data cleaning, preparation, and analytical techniques to generate solutions that answer business questions.
- Translate business needs into data requirements and develop data-driven solutions.
- Develop dashboards to support decision-making.
- Document methodologies and process steps; prepare clear, well-structured deliverables for dissemination (e.g., presentations, briefs, reports).
- Contribute to specific tasks within data projects, collaborating closely with the team.

- Project support: Assist in the implementation of the HR Administration projects including project planning, tracking deliverables, and reporting progress.
- Data management: Collect, organize, and analyze HR data to support decision-making processes for various HR initiatives (e.g. recruitment, onboarding, talent development, benefits and entitlements).
- Documentation: Prepare project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, presentations, and reports.
- Process improvement: Assist in identifying opportunities for streamlining HR processes and recommend improvements.
- Conduct tests, quality spot checks to assess the accuracy of the system outcomes.
- Training support: Provide logistical and administrative support for HR training sessions and workshops.
- General administrative support: Handle other HR-related tasks as needed, including assisting with communications, coordinating meetings, and preparing materials.
- Support learning platform management experts in building and testing online courses.
- Assist with system migration from Totara to Moodle Workplace.
- Work in collaboration with subject-matter and e-learning experts to finalize e-learning content and support their deployment in the Agora learning management system.
- Work with MS Teams/Zoom and the broadcast studio team to support the delivery of UNICEF’s global instructor-led training programs.
- Take on additional Learning and Development mini-projects which may be assigned based on the intern’s areas of interest and expertise.

- Ensure accuracy of data entry, handle illegible or incomplete data, ensure correct data mapping
- Perform quality and consistency checks, maintain confidentiality and data protection, should document encountered Issues and respect established timeliness and productivity.
- Assist with data collection, maintenance and analysis of standard monthly reports using tools such as SAP and Power BI to generate queries and insights
- Provide support in HR-related administrative tasks, including recruitment coordination and interview scheduling
- Contribute to HR analysis and other statistics for the Finance department
- Facilitate internal communications, organize meetings, and assist in preparing presentations
- Support the Data Analytics function in extracting, aggregating, and visualizing data, (e.g., PivotTables, charts, and data summaries).

Qualifications
• Enrolled in a Master’s or Ph.D. degree or have graduated within the past two years related to the area of the internship. Preferably in Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Management, Human Resources, Economics, Sociology, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Management or any related field, is required.
