Overview
Provide on-site multimedia coverage, optimization, and delivery of multimedia assets, and prepare, assess, optimize, upload, and distribute digital assets for UN Women.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site multimedia coverage (still photography or in-studio video recording).
- Optimize and deliver multimedia assets.
- Prepare, assess, optimize, upload, and distribute digital assets, including photos, videos, and multimedia content.
- Photo optimizing, light video editing, image research.
- Respond to internal/external asset research requests.
- Correspond with UN Women country and regional communications officers.
- Day-to-day maintenance of the Digital Asset Management System (DAMS).
- Support with metadata management of digital assets within the UN Women Multimedia Library.
- Uploading and reviewing photos, videos and design files.
- Photo and video coverage and editing of events, bilateral meetings, video messages and other requested assignments.
- Organize digital assets, including photos, videos and design files, implementing best practices for file naming, classification, metadata tagging and searchability.
- Assist with review of digital assets for quality and compliance with UN Women standards.
- Apply UN Women’s technical, ethical and editorial standards.
- Assist digital asset inventory, usage and permissions, as requested.
- Assist with other tasks as required by the supervisor.
Required Experience
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent in multimedia, visual design, photography, videography or related field is required.
- A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- Certification in photography, videography, communications or information science would be an added advantage.
